How to Find Your IP Address on iPhone (iOS 17/18)
Find Your IP Address on iPhone in Seconds
Your iPhone has two IP addresses: a private IP (used on your local Wi-Fi network) and a public IP (seen by websites and services). Here is how to find both.
Method 1: Find Your Public IP Instantly
The fastest way to find your public IP address on iPhone is to visit HackMyIP.com in Safari. Your public IP is displayed immediately at the top of the page, along with your location, ISP, and connection details. No app download required.
Method 2: Find Your Private (Local) IP in Settings
Your private IP is the address your router assigns to your iPhone on your local network:
This address typically starts with 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x. It is only visible within your home network.
Method 3: Ask Siri
Say "Hey Siri, what is my IP address?" Siri will show your device's local network IP. For your public IP, Siri may search the web — visiting HackMyIP directly is faster and more reliable.
Public vs Private IP: What Is the Difference?
Your public IP is the address websites see when you browse. It is assigned by your ISP and shared by all devices on your network. Your private IP is assigned by your router and only visible inside your home network. Learn more about the difference in our Public vs Private IP guide.
How to Hide Your iPhone IP Address
If you want privacy, enable iCloud Private Relay (Settings > Apple Account > iCloud > Private Relay) on iOS 15+ with an iCloud+ subscription. Alternatively, use a VPN app to mask your real IP. Read our complete guide to hiding your IP address.
Why Does My iPhone IP Address Change?
Most ISPs assign dynamic IP addresses that change periodically. Your iPhone IP will also change when you switch between Wi-Fi and cellular, connect to a different network, or restart your router. Learn about the difference in our Static vs Dynamic IP guide.
