How to Check Your Torrent Client IP
The checks above cover the browser-level leak vectors (your visible IP and WebRTC) behind most torrent IP exposure. Your torrent client can still route differently — a proxy set only in the client, or IPv6 bypassing the tunnel. To verify the client itself: 1. Bind the client to your VPN network interface (in its connection settings) so it cannot connect at all if the VPN drops. 2. Use a dedicated tracking-torrent test — these work by having your client announce to a test tracker that records the announcing IP. 3. Confirm the IP your client reports matches the VPN IP shown above, not your ISP address.
