How torrent leaks work:
Even with a VPN, your torrent client may leak your real IP through:
- WebRTC in browser-based clients
- DNS requests outside the VPN tunnel
- IPv6 connections bypassing the VPN
- Misconfigured kill switch

A proper VPN should show the VPN server IP for ALL connections — web, DNS, and P2P.
